Jenny Mackenzie, Ph.D. is an award-winning documentary filmmaker whose mission is to produce films that promote social change. In 2005, after a 20-year career working as a clinician, researcher, and developing programs for non-profit organizations, she went back to film school to pursue her life long passion--documentary filmmaking. Since then, her award-winning films have screened at hundreds of International Film Festivals, aired on top broadcast channels such as HBO and PBS, and have received praise in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Boston Globe. From topics about public health epidemics to gender equity, Jenny tells stories with compassion, honesty, humor, and hope.
Jenny holds a bachelor's degree from Brown University, a Master's in Social Work from Simmons College, and a Ph.D. from the University of Utah. Jenny also uses her professional experience, humor, and real life passion to address a wide variety of topics as an inspirational trainer and motivational speaker.
